SPECIALIZING IN :

 The Fascinating World of Scent

Problem Behavior Including Man Or Dog Aggression

We offer a sensible, no nonsense approach to dog handling and training. Our focus is to teach you how to effectively communicate and handle your K-9 companion. We use no food or toy reward. Your dog works for love of work and desire to please his handler. You will build a strong relationship of trust and respect with your dog. Our goal is to help you strengthen you human/K-9 bond and in all cases be a responsible dog owner.

Applicants

Dogs of all ages are accepted. We train all medium to large size working breeds or working breed crosses. Owners must provide proof of up to date vaccination. Handlers must enjoy working with their dogs and spending times out of doors. Indoor non-competitive agility coming soon for the less adventurous.

Philosophy

Our training follows working service philosophy. This philosophy is based on the natural bond that exists between man and dog and builds on the natural abilities that exist in our K-9 friends. It allows no competition or one-up-man-ship. It allows for better communication between handler and dog. We do not use food or toy reward. Nor do we use clickers or halties. These are simply artificial aids, which interfere with the natural bond and communication between you and your dog. They also allow your dog to be swayed or attracted by a stranger holding food or toy. Allow yourself to be the focus in your dog's life not the piece of liver you hold in your hand. Dogs have been in service to mankind for centuries. Imagine our dedicated soldiers, SAR Teams or ER Teams running about with a pocket full of liver treats, a towel tug or a clicker. Don't make a fool or a beggar out of your noble K-9 Companion.

Advanced Training

Advanced training in protection or scent work, for law enforcement, security, private home, bounty hunters, SAR teams is available. Please contact us privately for details. We train both handlers and dogs.
